this one's for you.....

early this morning
i received an email from a fellow blogger with a challenge for me
~
she said
"there's a little pink cottage in seaside that's one of my favorites"
"it's called precious"
and
"can you find it and take a photo of it with you in the photo"

but
here's the catch. she remembered this cottage from some years back. and in seaside anything can be bought and sold and built onto and repainted and renamed. so i quickly did a search and came up with nothing. no "precious" cottage in the seaside rental listing.
so
based on the photo she sent me that she had found on the internet, i had pretty much guessed that even if it was no longer pink, it would probably be on what i call the older side of seaside.
so off we went. in search of "precious" .
and
luckily for us
it's still in the old section of town and it's still pink and it's still "precious" even though it has seen some much better days. technically this is the guest cottage to a main house.
~
the main house seems to be very loved
but
this little charmer. oh, i just wanted to clean her up.
there you have it
~
me and "precious" and a challenge completed
~
now
if anyone else reading this
wants to throw a challenge my way
why not
bring it on
give me your best shot
~
all i have is time and a camera
so as long as that's all i need
go ahead
make my day
~
now granted
if i need a stranger or a dog or a sand bucket or a bocce ball
i can come up with those things
too
~
so get creative
if you want to see me acting like a nut
~
i do that pretty well

yes. this morning was chilly. hence the uggs and fingerless gloves. but by the afternoon we were on the beach sitting in the sand with bare piggies.

  3. You caught some air!

I love Seaside... if it's the Florida version of Seaside. If not, I would love that one, too. As for a challenge... that may take me a while? If I don't get back with one, enjoy the sand and surf for me.

  12. awesome, we love seaside and stay at worldmark when we go which we loooove, there is a man who walks to prom and he has a stick that he attaches things he finds on the sidewalk to his stick. I love it because it had a lot of pacifiers on it and my baby saw them :) I wished I would have take a close up of his stick. He was very kind and I actually found a pacifier the next day to give to me to add to his stick, however, I didn't see him, so I kept the pacifier as a memory :) Would love a pic of him and the stick (closeup) sometime! with love

  23. I would love to see a beautiful photo of the night sky, preferably full of stars, and, if you want an extra challenge, the unique lighting that sometimes floats in ribbons in and out and among the stars, like threads of the cosmos.

Awesome photo and awesome jump! My beach studio cottage is precious like this (but not tall. It is weathered grey with a bright red door) and is near Seaside...Oregon, that is. Love, love, love this post. Kudos for the nostalgia and excitement!
